Ventuno dicembre, la notte più lunga dell’anno. Simbolo di rinascita, precursore degli attuali riti per il Natale, alla base del significato del Capodanno, il solstizio d’inverno è stato sempre, dalla notte dei tempi al 2013, il simbolo della speranza che chiude il ciclo “negativo” del Sole: da oggi le giornate tornano ad allungarsi. Ed è curioso che, nel film citato qui sopra, il personaggio che pronuncia questa frase diventa un cattivo solo quando perde la speranza.
Qualche fatto: Shake it Out è il singolo di maggior successo di Ceremonials, secondo album della band britannica Florence + The Machine, pubblicato nel 2011. Il testo, ancora una volta, parla della voglia di rivalsa della protagonista, che vuole letteralmente scrollarsi di dosso (to shake off e to shake out) i propri demoni.

Speranza: Attesa fiduciosa di un futuro positivo. Ogni anno, prima col Sol Invictus e ora col Natale e con l’inizio del nuovo anno, l’umanità intera si dà un appuntamento per sperare insieme nella positività di un nuovo ciclo. Tutto nasce, come sempre, dalla natura: i contadini che vedevano le giornate accorciarsi non vedevano l’ora di rivedere il raccolto e la prosperità dei giorni estivi. Ed è stupendo che si sia tramandato che certe giornate esistono apposta per la speranza, per sperare insieme nella bontà del futuro. E scrollarsi di dosso le proprie paure non è che uno dei migliori auguri fattibili in vista delle feste. A nome di tutto lo staff di AHM, non sapendo se gli impegni mi porteranno a scrivere un altro testo del giorno prima del 2014, auguro a tutti i nostri lettori che le più grandi speranze siano veraci e che le peggiori paure siano superate in questo periodo.
